The Dance Workshop is very excited to announce we are now a registered affiliate studio and member of the DanceStep program. Offered in partnership with studio teachers, DanceStep empowers students to take care of others and guides them to be leaders and role models. The program covers assistant teaching skills such as behaviour management, different learning needs and styles, Safe Dance Principles and Anatomy to name just a few. These concepts are broken down to be taught in a sequential and age appropriate way to children from ten or eleven years of age. It's McHappy Day! We encourage everyone to go out to McDonald's and grab a meal before dance class tonight. A portion of all proceeds raised today go to support Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. Our connection to McHappy Day..... My husband Nathan and I stayed first in a RMH family room and then at RMH Toronto for 35 days in 2019 while our daughter Mara was in critical care at SickKids. We were provided with accommodations, food, even clothing. Whatever we needed RMH and its wonderful staff went above beyond to help us. Most importantly they gave us a place footsteps away from SickKids so we could be close to Mara. Today Mara is 4.5 years old and doing well. Luckily she doesn't remember when Mom and Dad stayed at RMH but we will never forget the kindness we received.❤#rmhtoronto #mchappyday #sickkidshospital

Just a reminder that there no regular classes from March 13 to 18 during March Break. Registration closes tonight for our March Break camps and we still have spaces available for our Parents Night Out on Sat March 18. A few classes will be offered this week as snow day make-up classes. You will be emailed directly if these classes are open to your dancer.

A heads up to dancers and parents that we will begin measuring dancers for their recital costumes in classes this week. Before measuring dancers we will explain to the class what we are doing and show them by measuring a classroom assistant. If a dancer would rather be measured at home we will send you a list of the information we require to ensure their costune fits beautifully. #recitalseason2023 #costumes #tdwseason9

Miss Colleen's classes 5:10pm D.A Jazz Bop running as scheduled 5:50pm D.A Teens running as scheduled 6:40pm D.A.Tap class CANCELLED 7:30pm D.A Adults CANCELLED* Dancers can join the 5:50pm class if they wish.* Miss Kelly's classes 3:20pm Solos running as scheduled 4:20pm S/D/T running as scheduled 5:20pm Acro Large Group will finish at 6:30pm 6:40pm Duet/Trio- can join the 4:20pm rehearsal block. Acro small group will rehearse with Rio. 7:40pm Acro- Crystal Gazers will join Rio group from 5:20pm to 6:30pm For tomorrow (Sat March 4) I will post any closures/modified schedules by 7:30am.
